What are we so afraid of? Each and every one of us. There is something that you, and I, and your best friend, and that stranger walking down the street saw yesterday, what is it that we are all afraid of?
Opportunities come and go every day. Sometimes they hang in the air for days afterwards and sometimes they are a fleeting moment. Most of the time we don't realise that they are there at all. A lot of the time, we don't take enough advantage of these opportunities. Why? We are afraid. We are all afraid! It's that one question. What if? What if, what if, what if? But so what, what if? What if I get rejected? What if someone sees? What if I make a complete fool of myself? What if I lose something?
It's the bad thoughts that make us miss these opportunities. We are a bunch of pessimists in this world. Why don't we turn it on it's head because not all opportunities taken mean that things turn out badly. What if this turns out to be the person I marry? What if someone sees and admires? What if this turns out to be the best decision I've ever made? What if I gain something?
Not everything has to be bad! So why are we still all afraid? In a year, 10 years, 50 years, the choices you make won't matter. And if they do matter, it'll be all for the right reasons.
I want you to take a chance today. I want you to seize the moment, the opportunity and run with it. Because really, what's the worst that can happen?
